The long awaited Premium Collectors Set Mix C has started to hit Malaysia.
Based on what we have seen in the past, that means it will be in Australia next and should be in the US in about a month or so.
As with all these Premium Collector diorama sets, in the US it will be Walmart only. We question this Mattel strategy and do not like how these sets are Walmart Exclusive. We hear this from many collectors as well.
The mix has 2 new cars and 2 repeats. The diorama shows a 1/4 mile drag strip.
The ‘65 Mercury Comet Cyclone and the ‘55 Chevy Bel Air Gassers are the new colors (not castings) to the Black Hole Mix. This makes the 6th Bel Air Gasser we have seen in 2020.
The ‘66 Super Nova and the Retro rig were in the 2019 Team Transport Mix C which was a huge hit with collectors. Here is that video:
The first Premium Collectors Mix was long awaited and received well by all collectors. There was great excitement in the 2nd mix, but the reuse of cars/casting really disappointed collectors and are seen now warming shelves.
How will this mix do? In the US this should be a hit because anything with a ‘55 Bel Air Gasser seems to do well.
