The legends tour for
2021 has started and like last year, most of it will be virtual. There are some
dates for live events in Florida, Michigan and Texas. More dates might be added
later depending on the Covid situation and the event locations.
You can check out hot
wheels FaceBook page for more
information.
Even though the events are virtual, there are
cars that you can buy for the event.
The cars for this years events are the
Walmart Exclusive Team Transport, the Walmart Exclusive Zamac Power Wagon and
the Legends Tour Silverado.
Cars that we have seen in the past:
In 2019, people went nuts over this Datsun
510 Bluebird Wagon. This green wagon is very similar to the super treasure hunt
from 2014.
The 2019 Zamac Tour Exclusive was the Dairy
Delivery and this was only available through the wheel spin. Basically,
you had to purchase $20 worth of hot wheels from Walmart, show your receipt and
you got to spin a wheel.
In 2020, this Gold Gasser was the Legends Tour Car. Some were sold in Florida at the first stop, but then Covid hit and the rest were sold online.
The Bone Shaker id was also a Legends Tour
exclusive. This was mainly sold to distributors who posted them on their
websites or eBay listings.
The special Walmart zamac was the Volkswagon
Sunagon and again, this could only be purchased online in a Walmart
bundle. Most of these sold out quick.
2021 Tour Cars
1980 Dodge Macho Power Wagon
Walmart used to have these zamacs as mail ins, but does not do a mails in anymore. You will
have to check the Walmart site for when these zamacs go on sale.
This Power Wagonwas part of a package that included the Team Transport and the ’70 Chevy Blazer. Not sure why they chose the ’70 Chevy Blazer, but probably because they had many extra. After these sellout, we are not sure what will be part of the bundle, but expect there to be a bundle!
The Power Wagon was designed in 2014 by Brendan Vetusky and made its debut in the Simon and Simon Replica Entertainment mix.
This is only the 4th time they have made this truck and we last saw it in the 2019 Car Culture
Desert Rally set.
Team Transport
The Carry On was designed by Mark Jones and it was one of the first transporters made. The first one was black with Advan livery.
The Stingray was designed by Mark Jones in 2020. It made it's debut in the Fast and Furious Quick Shifters mix which was a great mix. You will see called as either the '65 Corvette Stingray Coupe or just the Custom Corvette Stingray.
'83 Chevy Silverado
The Legends Silverado came as part of a pack with the air freshener and T-shirt.
Honestly the shirt is ugly... The air freshener is pretty strong and smells like cologne.
The ’83 Silverado was designed by Jun Imai in 2008. We have seen many versions of it with the most expensive being the RLC green with the white walled wheels. To me, this one is not that good looking and is way over hyped.
