Stance is a an American clothing company that specializes in
clothing for skateboarding. Stance socks are well known to be good quality and
can stand up to the grind that skateboarders will put them through.
This is Stance’s first collaboration with Hot Wheels where an
actual car has been offered.
The Stance collaboration features a very nice boxed set. The
box is very well designed and good quality. On the outside of the box is the
classic Hot Wheels flames with the Hot Wheels logo.
Opening the box up, we see the Hot Wheels and Stance logos.
Inside the box we have 3 panels.
The middle panel contains the car, which is the ‘70’s Van
(aka Super Van but not the 1975 version). The Super Van is mounted in an
acrylic case that has both the Hot Wheels and Stance logos. THE CASE IS NOT
NUMBERED, so we do not know how many of these have been made and Hot Wheels
will not release this info. In the past, these collaborations have had very limited
quantity. However, Hot Wheels factories have required larger orders in the past
few years. Our guess is that it is probably limited to under 10,000 pieces.
The Super Van itself is black with the classic Hot Wheels flames across both sides. We also see the Stance logo on both sides and the top. In addition the “Stance” is written on both sides of the Super Van. The Super Van sits on real rider 5 spoke rims with red outlines.
The outer two panels contain the socks. The first sock is
the classic black sock with the Hot Wheels flames and logo. We also see the Stance
logo as well. The second sock is white with red lettering and contains the Hot
Wheels Track Attack Race Team logo, the Hot Wheels Speed Club logo, the El Segundo
1968 logo and the classic Hot Wheels logo. In addition we see the Stance logo
on each pair.

Stance was co-founded in 2009 by John Wilson in San Clemente
California. They originally started off with just socks but have evolved into a
full clothing brand.

More About the ‘70’s Van (Super Van)
This was designed by Larry Wood in 2003 and made its debut
in the Hot Wheels Collectors Series 2 Flying Customs Mix. This van is a
collectors favorite. We have seen it countless times in mainline releases and
premium sets. It has been a convention car on several occasions along as being
an RLC release.
